Get in on the Ground Floor

House construction, not only in the Philippines but also with other countries, requires a lot of attention and tedious planning. Your house is not just a bed and breakfast type of thing that you can just leave the moment you want to. Your house will be your home for as long as time and circumstances allow and that is a big deal! This is where we let our house contractors and home builders do their thing.

Every single part of the house should all be cohesively constructed not just in terms of the aesthetic aspect of it but more of its functionality and when we say every single part of it, we mean it-floors included!

Floors are sometimes underrated because it is not what is immediately seen on eye-level but it actually stitches the entire look altogether and it also provides resistance to ground moisture and heat.  There are different floor construction types you should be discussing in your next appointment with your construction company.

  1. Solid Floor. This is the most common for the Philippine setting because it is the most affordable and most convenient. This consists of a base of sand blinding with a layer of concrete over it.

  2. Suspended Timber Floor. A concrete is poured across the ground and a gap is made between the underside of the timbers and the concrete. This prevents moisture from gathering.

  3. Suspended Concrete Floor. It is closely similar to the suspended timber floor except that the suspended concrete floor uses precast concrete beams or planks and there are concrete blocks in between the beams.

There are a lot of resources made available online that we can explore and read extensively but house construction in the Philippines is not something we can base on generic web knowledge. Our needs differ from one family to another so if we want our specific needs and preferences addressed, it would always be best to work with the reliable house contractors here in the Philippines.
